"Heroes in White" Thoughts [19]

I finally finished it last night. I saw so many spoilers on social media beforehand so had an idea of what was gonna happen. Loved seeing Timothy, Elvina, and Karl turn against each other. From social media, I thought Timothy died... my bad lol. Mo and Mark's hospital scene got me crying. They really sounded like bros. Loved loved loved the proposal scene!! All I saw on social media were people asking when did they sleep together, literally asking for the scene. Gurl, why would y'all expect TVB to show you that?? And people said it goes against Mo's virtuous character. Did they forget his reaction when Mark told him that he was not an A0 anymore? Guys will be guys lol. Their son is so cute. I didn't even notice that his curly hair was to match Kelly's until I saw her Instagram post. Ahhh, sooo freakin' cute!! Mo's monologue with the flashbacks had me in tears. I rewatched that part a few times and cried each time. And his smile at the end, as always, the warmest. Seriously, the second half of the last episode is the best thing ever and I could watch it again and again.

Overall, a very enjoyable drama. Fast paced, lovable characters, touching, funny, positive messages, satisfying ending. It has definitely been a while since I've enjoyed his drama from start to end. TVB should invest in small productions like this.

P.S. I saw Kelly's interview with radio show, "Circle" (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VshP7CXlWa0), and she mentioned that she was not the first choice for the role. I saw people on Weibo speculate Katy. Appearance-wise, Kelly is a better match with Mo. There's still a bunch of content to post, but I'm kinda busy these days. Good thing Mo is also busy filming so I have time.

Should've signed those papers earlier... Mo was so good in that scene where they all gathered to support him. Timothy is also an antagonist, but I don't hate him 'cause he seems to still care about his sisters. He should snitch on Karl or something lol. I won't be able to watch tomorrow's episode and maybe won't have time to catch up on Friday. I guess it's a sign for me to savor this drama lol.

Zoie going to work is cute. Dad is super sweet. Moon needs to back the fuzz off!! Man, why can't Mark just tell Mo that he's sick? Loved Mo's expression when he thought Kelly was hinting at marriage. He's so goofy. I'm seeing jail for Karl in the finale, like please just send him there now.

It's so obvious that Mo is not a fighter in real life 'cause he could've made those punches more realistic lol. Good thing Kelly has all the brain cells. The HD close up of their hand holding!! And his freakin' smile!!! I love how they were on mute when he told her that he got her flowers and she thanked him. I could just hear their voices in my head. It felt sweeter that way.

Ugh, this episode pissed me off sooooooo much!!! Mark, Kelly & Zoie's mother, Moon, Karl, and the guy he hired. I wanna know what happens next episode, but I'm still raging.

When Mo said that he could do acupuncture on her chest, I was like whaaaaa?? Is that a thing?? It must be since Professor Wong is their consultant. When the gangster called Mason's eczema hickeys, I for real loled 'cause that's what I've been thinking this whole time loooool. Omg omg omg, the scene of them doing the treatment; that has got to be the most intimate thing on tv besides a bed scene. And they managed to make it a bit romantic. I don't know what I'm saying anymore lol.

Kelly and Mark's bickering continue to be hilarious, especially Kelly's line. Actually, just Mark bickering with anyone, now there's also Eddie Pang. Bro, this thing between Mo and Kelly. Like why aren't y'all together already????? Ok, I'll wait. The noticeable stunt double hehehe. Oh yes, they're promoting breast cancer awareness. Love to see all these new younger actors. Moon's antics are really giving old drama, makjang, soap opera, telenovela villain vibes lol.

Haha Kelly zooming in on Mo's photo. Why are there times when I feel like Mo should be walking a lot faster, but he's purposely slowing down for the camera? It's a bit awkward. I knew they weren't going to drag the storyline, but loved how they were able to resolve things. Seriously though, why is everyone around him sick or getting sick?? Lol. His smile was soooo warm at the end!!

Let me just say this first, was it Moon who gave Karl the package?! I thought she wasn't going to do it since Mo is treating her. I need to know!! But I don't wanna read spoilers. I need to see the teaser for ep 11!! Loved all of Kelly's pissed off expressions. And I don't know why I found it so funny when she was yelling at Mark with her mouth full of crackers. The crying statue, but it's actually a leaky ceiling is classic TVB humor. The whole conversation between Mo and Kelly during their archery session, was that not a confession?? How are they not together yet lol. Mo comforting Mark was sooo cute.

I said I wanted Mo to confess to Kelly already, but I lied. It's actually more fun to watch their relationship now. They finally mentioned his sister. I'm surprised she passed away. She looked so present day in the opening video. But thinking about it, fashion 10 years ago isn't that different from today's. Omg omg omg, Mo looked so good when he was fighting. It looked even better than his moves in Death By Zero. His expressions were so on point. Props to the trainer and director. I'm gonna have to watch it a few more times. Again, Mark is always so silly and brings out the best reactions from Mo. He mentioned in TVB's interview (watch here) that he does a lot of ad libs and Mo always responds really well. Oh my gah, the archery scene was very sweet; Kelly found someone who understands her frustration. And what an ending! You can see the tension in Mo's face. My dude's skin was acting OMG!! But serious question though, does he have a license to practice?? They never mentioned it.

Wow, this was an eventful episode. We got Kelly all jealous. I'm thinking when will Mo confess his feelings. Like y'all are so old, just go for it, but I do enjoy watching her be all upset lol. We got Timothy, Karl, and Elvina being awful as usual. It amazes how the writer was able to come up with all these schemes. And we have a new character, Mason Fung. His character is all too familiar, a recluse with dermatitis. Also why is Mo always made to play basketball? Can they be careful of his knees lol.

This drama got me looking forward to Mondays - what sorcery is this lol. I see that Kelly gets frustrated with Zoie, but I enjoy watching them together. Also found Mo's interactions with Zoie really cute. Too much of Mo being a nerd in this episode lol. Looks like there's trouble in the next episode. Nope, this drama can't be calm.

Ugh, I thought I could ship Mark and Moon when watching the hospital scene with the amazing subtheme blasting, but nope she had to be all conniving again lol. Love how the issue was resolved so quickly. Love to see antagonists getting karma so swiftly. And them arguing amongst each other. Bro, Mark is too freakin' funny!!! I watched him say, "acting is so fake," so many times. Ok, the ending, I swear the producer is spoofing rom-com tropes at this point. The superhero background music?? Rofl. But let's talk about the music; I appreciate how they used so many songs and not just the theme and subtheme. I don't really watch TVB anymore so I don't know if that's something common now.

Is the script that difficult? Definitely saw him having trouble when he was nerding out. Madam Lo is an amazing actress; she portrays the loving mother and sister so well. I know she and Mark meant well and are simpleminded so most likely didn't understand the scheme. And honestly, I don't fully get it either lol. Omg, the flashback scene was sooo cute!! The child actors are adorbs and such great actors. I freakin' can't believe we're only on episode 4 with so much going on. Is this not the usual episode 15?? Looooool!

I know Moon is supposed to be an antagonist, but I'm surprisingly not put off by her. Maybe 'cause I know Mo's character is not be interested in her. Their first interaction was hilarious. Mark cracks me up so much and that song they used when he saw Moon was perfect. I don't know why, but I'm waiting for Mo to treat Kayan. Is he not an actual doctor? Is he only selling the medicicated oil?? Also finding Professor Wong's tips pretty helpful.

"Heroes in White" Thoughts [2]

That slow-mo part was so cheesy; straight out of old rom-coms. Why do I feel like he's sometimes speaking a bit unnaturally 'cause he can't speak English lololol; that must be it. The villains are so good. This is my first time watching Karl and he's actually good at playing an antagonist. Maybe that can be his thing. Did they deepfake Mo's face?? I'm against deepfakes and AI, but I guess I do prefer it over casting someone who looks nothing like him or his old self trying to look young. But I was shocked that I could actually see Aiden in the deepfake. Why is his birth year 1980????? They should've gone with mid 1970s. Overall, really enjoying the pace. It's kinda like a slice of life. We're still getting to know the characters and there are so many more to come.

"Heroes in White" Thoughts [1]

I'm so behind on posting updates for this drama, but I watched episode 1 today and I had to share my thoughts right away. It's really refreshing and I hope I continue to enjoy it. The producer and director did so well capturing Mo's good angles; like this post was 90% created to say that lol. His smile is just so warm all the time!! I also enjoy watching Kelly play this type of character. And loving Mo and Mark's bromance. The herbal medicine product placement is kinda awkward, but it's bearable. And lastly, love love love the subtheme《有你出現》by 黃博/趙浚承. You guys already know my thoughts on Mo and Kelly pairing up, but the song makes it really fluffy and hard not to like...
